take good care of her being? Do the Wind,
Sun and Moon Gods see her silent suffering?
Tell me oh Maruta, was she blinded by tears
hearing Rama-Nama from thee ?
Oh the plight of Devi Sita, how is she without me?"

could see Mato Sita in the Asoka-vana,
watched by demonesses. She looked
like a lotus in the midst of a sullied pond
She has become like a p)rass by relentless fasting ,
protected by a thin grass, her hair uncombed and
clothes disheveled, eyes moist with tears,
countenance tangled and distraught.
Seeing your Signet Ring, oh Lord, she wept
as if she had found her lost soul back.
Rama-Nama is her refuge, in sunshine and in darkness.
From today I decide in
my heart of heart, the name of 'Siya-Ram' would be
my safe haven to expel all grief.
Let us take a vow now .my comrades and friends
to lighten the earth of the demons, these
diversionary intrusions on the planet earth.
Even though our Lord Rama can shatter all hopes
of the rakshasas with the blink of his eye,
we shall contribute in our small little way
to relieve the burden of Mother Earth
and Mother Seta, both of whom are
humiliated by the demon Ravana and his clan."
Then Vayaputra Hanuman gave my crest
jewelry to you, By touching a thing that I had
touched, you burst into inconsolable tears.
Sugreeva, the visionary, comforted your
tormented heart, to keep away all
apprehensions, and find a means to cross the ocean.
Lakshmana agreed, it was time for action

Power and skill to cast aside all privation .

accomplished in all precision, so that we cannot fail."
Rama, my noble husband, you mobilized the

to build a bridge to Lanka for the soldiers.
Here, in Lanka, Ravana couldn't overlook t
he fact that I was discovered by Hanuman.
He apprehended your attack any moment ashore.
The demons motivated Ravana with buoyancy .
and raved about his strength "Only our
prince Indrajit is enough to slay
those monkeys and the two lanky btrothers!
Vibhishana, the half-brother of Ravana, the
Moblest soul among rakshahas, guessed
appalling omens occurring in Lanka. He advised Ravana
to send me back to you with all respect
due to a noble woman. Lie knew well that something
worse, much worse, was sure to come.
The king's conclave didn't like this honest
opinion of Vibhishana, and called it a shame.
Sycophants, the flatterers of Ravana, they couldn't see
the kinship and loyalty in this peace -plea.
Kumbhakarana, Indrajit and the stalwarts
were vigilant thinking the exploits of the monkey.
Alas! They didn't know, Hanuman was your envoy.
Everyone dejected Vibhishana's advice implausible.
"Oh Ravana, my brother, our king, you are
more than my father for me. Thus I dare say
this grave admonition, do not humiliate Queen Maithily.
Lord Rama is none but Lord Vishnu incarnate.
Mother Sita is no one but Goddess Laxmi chaste."
It was utter blasphemy for Ravana, "Throw Vibhishana out!"
It was all decided now, the war was in
the offing. Vibhishana joined you,
he was for truth; it wasn't a battle of loyalties;
rather it was a war between false and true.
A battle between the devil and the divine. I had
no fear no qualms, now that you had built the bridge on the blue.

वायुपुत्र हनुमान आए मेरे पास
कर सोने की लंका का विनाश
सागर पारकर गए तुम्हारे पास।
मित्र बने सुग्रीव, अंगद,जाम्बवान
लौटने पर हनुमान को मिला सम्मान
व्यक्तिगत-रणनीतिक, दोनों मिशन ।
“हे हनुमान, पूजेगा तुम्हें सारा जगत
युग-युग पर्यंत
तुम हो सिया-राम के सच्चे भक्त ।
अब बताओ, कैसी है मेरे हृदय की धड़कन
मेरी प्यारी सीता, उसके कष्ट-कंटकों की चुभन
सागर से भी गहरा उसका अकेलापन ।
क्या जनक-नंदिनी, तपस्विनी,जगत-जननी
क्या करती अपनी निगरानी ?
क्या पवन-सूर्य-चंद्र बनते उसके मूक-दुख के संगिनी ?
मुझे बताओ, ओह मारुति! हे हनुमान !
‘राम-नाम’, सुन जिसके छलक जाते नयन
मेरे बिना कैसे काटेगी जीवन ? ”
"मैं धन्य हूँ"- बोले हनुमान
“मेरी नश्वर आँखों ने देखा भगवन
माता सीता को अशोक-वन ,
घिरी वह राक्षसियों के दल
जैसे खिला हो कीचड़ में कमल
भूख से सूख गई जैसे घासफूल।
तृण-ओट में बिखरे बाल
कपड़े अस्त-व्यस्त, लाल-लाल
आंसुओं से भीगे कोमल गाल ।
अंकित मुद्रिका देख रोई, हे भगवान
मानो मिल गया हो नया जीवन
धूप-छांव में ‘राम-नाम’ ही शरण ।
आज से मैं लेता हूँ निर्णय
'सिया-राम' सदैव रहेंगे मेरे हृदय
दुखहर्ता मेरा सुरक्षित आश्रय।
आइये, मित्रों लेते है अब एक व्रत
राक्षसों से पृथ्वी को करें मुक्त
शांति से जिए अखिल जगत।
राम कर दें आसुरी आशाओं का प्लावन
पलक झपकते ही राक्षसों का हो पलायन ,
हम भी दें इसमें अपना थोड़ा-सा योगदान ।
उतारे धरती और सीता माता का बोझ
दोनों ही प्रताड़ित,रहे हैं जूझ
राक्षस रावण,उसके कबीले-कुंज। ”
वायुपुत्र हनुमान ने जब दी तुम्हें मेरी चूड़ी
मेरी छुई चीज को छूकर मन में उठी होगी फूलझड़ी
बरस पड़ी होगी आँखों से आंसुओं की झड़ी ।
दूरदर्शी सुग्रीव ने किया तुम्हारे हृदय को शांत
खोजने लगा, सारी आशंकाओं का समाधान
महासागर को पार करने का विधान ।
लक्ष्मण हो गए सहमत,
कार्रवाई पर जताया अभिमत
युद्ध करने का यही सही वक्त ।
" हमें चाहिए अधिक ज्ञान, साहस, इच्छा-बल
अभाव-अनाटन से निपटने का शक्ति-कौशल
ताकि योजना न हो असफल । ”
राम, मेरे कुलीन पति!
तुमने वानर-सेना की सृष्टि
कैसे बनेगा राम-सेतु- हुए चिंतित ।
अनदेखी कैसे करता रावण,अपनी लंका ?
मुझे खोज हनुमान ने बजाया डंका
कभी भी हमले की थी उसे आशंका।
उकसाया राक्षसों ने रावण, देने को दंड
बनने को अनर्गल, प्रचंड, उद्दण्ड
कह,इंद्रजीत कर सकता राम-सेना खंड-खंड।
रावण का सौतेला भाई विभीषण,
लगा रहा था अनुमान
क्यों लंका में हो रहे अपशुकन?
उसने रावण को दिया परामर्श
नेक औरत को मत कर स्पर्श
ससम्मान लौटाने पर कर विमर्श ।
आसन्न बुरे परिणाम को देख हुआ भयभीत,
राज-परिषद को विभीषण लगा धूर्त
कहा उसकी राय को बेशर्मी की बात।
रावण के चाटुकारों,चापलूसों की गद्दारी
नजर नहीं आई, इस शांति-वार्ता में रिश्तेदारी, वफादारी
कुंभकर्ण, इंद्रजीत,सैनिक जानते थे हनुमान की कारीगरी।
अफसोस! उन्हें मालूम न था, हनुमान थे राम-दूत
सभी ने विभीषण की सलाह को किया अस्वीकार
और मारा सभी ने उसके पेट में मुक्के-लात ।
“हे रावण, मेरे भाई, हमारे राजा, पिता से भी अधिक
हिम्मत करता हूँ कुछ कहने की
मत उड़ाओं खिल्ली मैथिली की ।
राम कोई और नहीं, बल्कि भगवान विष्णु
सीता कोई और नहीं, बल्कि लक्ष्मी माता ”
रावण को लगी यह बात निन्दा-योग्य एवं असहिष्णु ।
"विभीषण को बाहर फेंक दो!"-रावण तमतमाया
तय हो चुकी सब युद्ध की माया
विभीषण पर तुम्हारे खेमे की छाया । ,
लड़ाई यह झूठ और सच की
लड़ाई यह शैतान और परमात्मा की
अयोग्य निडर मैं, आवश्यकता अब रामसेतु की ।
